4.  Can I get financial help with prescriptions, dentists etc?

Students aged 19 or over are not automatically entitled to help with health costs. However, you can apply to the Low Income Scheme using Form HC1 to see if you qualify for help. This is currently not available on-line.

Telephone 0845 610 1112 to order an HC1 Application Form.

Assessments are based on a 'snapshot' of a person's circumstance at the date of the claim. Therefore you may find you qualify for more help if you claim during the academic year.
